Welcome to Tidal Force Solutions energy production from tidal forces

Sixty six percent of the earth is covered with moving water. That natural, daily movement of waves and tides, caused by the movement of celestial bodies, has the potential of generating unimaginable power. Wind and solar have had almost unlimted funding for thirty years, yet they still contribute less than 3% of the world's daily energy needs. Waiting around for a sunny or windy day seems inefficient. Wave and Tidal forces, within reason, are unaffected by the weather. They move in a constant and predictable pattern and yield predictable output and return on investment. "It doesn't have to be a sunny day, doesn't have to be a windy day, it will always be the same."

The development of technologies to capture ocean and tidal energy resources can play a significant role in our nation's economic recovery and expand our renewable portfolio.  According to the Electric Power Research Institute, ocean renewable energy in U.S. waters has the estimated potential to supply some 400 Terawatt hours of clean power annually, or roughly 10% of today's electrical demand.  This is more than the electric generation currently delivered from all conventional hydropower in the U.S. today.1

The center of our technology is called the "Tidal Cube".  Each Cube takes the blunt force of horizontal tidal flows and converts it to a powerful, single direction, rotational force. The torque generated by each output shaft turns a generator on the shore. This system is an intuitively simple aquadynamic solution for global tidal energy production.

The Tidal Cube is a submerged cubic structure that contains the Wilton Water Wheel. It is completely surrounded by a wire mesh covering that keeps out any marine material or animal life. Moored by four embedded posts, the Tidal Cube's structure does not move.  Regardless of the tidal direction, the output shaft always turns the gear housing and connected supply pump in the same direction. This eliminates any requirements for complicated control systems. The supply pump's output volume and pressure travels to the shore generator (see below) which turns the land based generators, and generates electricity.

The submerged supply pump, forces water through the flexible hosing to the shore based transfer pump. The transfer pump is coupled to a centrifigal clutch that transfers force to the generator after a specified RPM has been attained. The transmission of power to the grid is basic standard industry best practices.
